Chatty’s First Tomato – re-visited

Do you remember how excited Chatty was about Chatty’s First Tomato?

    Well, Chatty does, too!

Here is the picture of her first (and only, so far) tomato, which was taken about 3 weeks ago::

The following picture was taken today, of the same tomato:

    Can you spot the difference?

    Neither can Chatty.

    BIG *sigh*

  1. I chuckled ’cause we were just talking this afternoon about how great homemade tomatoes are

  2. gary says:

    Tomato has a little buddy!

  3. kcinnova says:

Yes! Larger leaves around it are gathering in sunshine to feed this tomato and it’s new baby sibling. I’m feeling positive this morning. Can you tell? 😉

  4. Heather says:

Hey there stranger! You haven’t shown up on my Facebook yet!! HINT HINT! Epsom salts for the tomatos, that’s the secret! They’ll grow like crazy and best of all, no chemicals like miracle grow has!

  5. CCC says:

Yes, they are great – sadly, this one wouldn’t feed Tom Thumb…

  6. CCC says:

Well, KC – I’m glad you think the leaves are larger – but WHAT baby sibling? This is my one and only tomato *sigh*

  7. kcinnova says:

In the second picture, if you imagine your first tomato as a round clock, the baby sibling is near 10 o’clock on the dial (look to where the arrow would be pointing). It’s really there! :DAnd there are so many more vines and leaves that have grown since the first picture. I am sure your patience will be rewarded. 😛

  8. CCC says:

Oh my goodness, KC – what good eyes you have! I looked at the picture again, and ran right outside to double-check. You’re RIGHT! There IS another baby! Of course, I still need a magnifying glass to see it, and those are the only two on all 5 plants, but I was told that the one plant would bloom in 45 days, and the other four in 60 days, so I guess there is still hope – but not a flower in sight yet.Oh well, thanks for pointing it out!

  9. farmerswife says:

It does look bigger and rounder and plumper in the second picture. Be sure to blog a pic for us when it’s all red and shiny. Patience, all good things come in time! 🙂
