2008 in Pictures

Tink’s  assignment for the first Weekly Word Challenge of 2009 is for us to post our favorite pictures from 2008.

Chatty was stunned to realize that she has posted 482 photos on her blog since December 29, 2007!

Without further ado, here are a few of her favorites.

Man on rock, South Mountain, above Phoenix, AZ:

Man in window, overlooking Phoenix atop South Mountain:

Cleo licking her chops over a bone bigger than she is…

    “Gunslinger”, Tombstone, Arizona:

    Kitty in the sink:

Cleo up to her tummy in snow at Pine Top, Arizona…the first time she had ever seen snow…

    Mormon Lake, Arizona:

Toot, wriggling around because she has an itch…

Making like a monkey at The Wiz’s birthday party:

    Chatty and The Wiz…

    Cleo, weighing in…

Toot, taking her first of many summer swims…

    And drying off…

Hoping that some of Daddy’s lunch will fall on the floor…

    Our darling Fluffy…

    Leaving the scene:

One of Chatty’s favorite beaded cabochons:

    The essence of summertime…

The Wiz, on Black Widow patrol…

    When vegetables go wild…

    Stretching out…

DeGrazia’s little chapel, outside Tucson, Arizona:

    Grand Canyon, South Rim:

Our little Braveheart, shortly after her attack…pretty pink bandages
disguise a truly horrific wound:

Looking out the front door (it’s an interesting front door…):

    Chatty’s Jack o’ Lanterns:

Dos (short for “Dos Equis” – yes, they named their cat after a beer – Chatty’s kind of people!), our “volunteer kitty” (who lives next door, and shows up when he wants to), under the Christmas tree:

The Wiz with our babies, in front of our first fire in 3 years:

    The littlest angel:

A sister’s bed is always more comfortable than your own:

When kitties help…(that would be Dos Equis, with his mommy in the foreground, and his daddy’s elbow upper left…at Chatty’s house on Boxing Day…December 26 to those of you who might not be Anglophiles…)

As mentioned above, Chatty has a few hundred more, but she’ll stop here!

I love them all, especially the “vegetables gone wild” shot. But that second one is amazing. It could be on a postcard.

  5. Aunt Jackie says:

It’s not fair, first of all, because Chatty goes so many fabulous places and has the opportunity to capture such breathtaking photos. Secondly though, they would move me or make me smile even if they were all just in your back yard. Great as always!!! Happy 2009. I’m still trying to catch up, and get around to everyon… sorry If I’m here or there. AJ!

  6. Reb says:

Wow, good job on all of them. Man in window and the south rim are wonderful Chatty.

Adorable pics! And, I remember tons! What an enjoyable flashback through the times you have shared with us all. Oh, how is sweet Cleo? Well enough that we can have a scarred picture of the wounds.
